Children's Ministry - Reach and Teach REACH AND TEACHReach and Teach is a Children's Ministry Program developed by Pastor Jeri Soens while serving at Hemingford UMC in Nebraska. It consists of simple methods that she has used to grow her church by more than 40% in 4 years. This amazing growth rate all began with reaching out to children in her community. An intregal part of her program uses hand puppets as teaching aids.
Workshops throughout Nebraska were held from 2009 through 2011. They teach the basics of Reach and Teach and provide hands-on training with puppets. Each attendee receives a comprehensive manual detailing the Reach and Teach program and how it can work in their church. The Reach and Teach workshops are scheduled to become availble as interactive online courses in the fall of 2012.
The Great West District endorses Folkmanis puppets and has them available for purchase through the district office. All proceeds go to a children's ministry fund which provides grants for children's ministry programs and new children's ministry start-ups. Need Puppets?
